I'm elated and pleased to announce my fingers have finally calloused beautifully.

It's taken eighteen months of lessons and practice and finally my fingers don't hurt on the top octaves.
Apparently, harpists each have their own particular sound (all playing the same harp) depending on their individual pattern of callous on their fingers. Tests have been done somewhere. Anyone know of this research.

My teacher remarked last lesson that I was getting a much better sound from the harp. :-)

I get a lot of calluses from the bottom strings more than the top. I keep filing them off as I thought it would make the sound worse, but maybe I shouldn't!
