I have no interest in tennis whatsoever ! One of few sports that do nothing for me.

Then don't follow this thread - it's very clearly labelled. Mind you, it never says anything that people who are interested in tennis don't already know.

Had to huddle over BBC radiocast in France for the end of the first semi final as our TV offered 6 hours non-stop of Tour bikes doing nothing in particular for eons but no tennis!
I am now expecting a very loud night here if The Blues bring it home on Sunday to add to the current blasting Francofolies which are taking place miles away from our apartment in La Rochelle but are clearly audible well into the night. Language school here is great but I had forgotten that this is an epicentre of French holiday makers and yachties - it all feels very crowded. I thought the French holidayed in late July/August but they are here in force. Why would anyone pack themselves onto a beach that has BROWN murky sea? I am hoping to find some blue sea at the weekend on one of the islands!

Heard something on radio this morning about the match above being finished today.
Do we have an ETA for the ladies' final? I think I might settle down with the sewing machine plus tv and have a nice afternoon (providing I've galloped round this morning to get half our packing done).

Wow, Zverev, winning the ATP championship against Federer and Djokovic
Looking forward to seeing what he does at Wimbledon 2019!

So pleased for Lopez and Murray. Amazing from Lopez and great to see Andy Murray back and in great form
(PS. Queen's not Wimbledon, so off-topic strictly speaking but didn't want to start another tennis thread!)

I miss Wmbledon. As a student I lived quite near and at the end of the day you could sometimes get someone leaving to give you a ticket for the last hour or so of play - not the big matches of course. I have had to exchange Wimbledon for Roland Garros. Wow! The new courts are great..However I didn't manage to watch much this year - pressure of work.
