Decidedly autumnal. wacko.png

Even down in the South east of England it is much the same. Cloudy, breezy and not going to get beyond 17/18C today. Oh and there is a 100% chance of rain later according to the forecast.

Summer really has not arrived. Apart from about 2 days of hot weather right  at the end of July it has been very unsummery with temperature highs mostly in the mid 20s. Maybe we will get a late burst of warm, dry weather at the end of August and into early September. Has happened in recent years so I'll just assume/hope that is what will happen this year!

Chillier and heavy rain at times yesterday again. Warm and sunny today and tomorrow then back to the ‘some bright periods with scattered showers’ which seemed to be the norm in England when I Iived there. Only difference is that our rain comes from clouds charging over the pass before it gets poured down on us. No cats and dogs here, it rains ‘twine’. Unfair that the next villages up and down the lake get less precipitation than we do. That pass has a lot to answer for. And the clouds pay no attention to the fact that it is, at the moment, closed.
