Haven't looked at grade 8 pieces yet, and unlikely to do so for some time.  My daughter has only recently chosen her grade 7 pieces, having taken grade 6 at Christmas.  She's in the lower 6th, so older than your daughters if they are in years 11 and 9.  She's looking at universities, but not conservatoires.

I have a scruffy broken coated Parsons he's scruffy too loads of character!

She has chosen for her grade 8
