Why were your feelings mixed? What was not to like, unless you thought Alan Yentob didn't do a very good job of presenting it.

Just watched the "imagine" programme - really unbelievable! Alma seems very happy and clearly nobody is pushing her to do anything she doesn't want, she's just amazingly talented!

 

That said, I can see problems for her as she gets older, when she's no longer the child genius, but just another talented adult ... She would need to develop her own sense of style to carve out a future in a very competitive field - and there's absolutely no way of saying at the moment whether that would happen of course. Also, she does come over as extremely hyper-active in the way that she speaks so fast and can't really stop talking ... yes, this is fine in  group of adults who all think she's brilliant but again when she's grown up, could this be a problem? I hope there will be someone there to help her as she gets older.

 

But so long as she is happy and enjoying what she does, then that's great!
