Calling all cellists!

I am organising another cello day in Winchester on 18th Nov 2017. This will be led by an ex professor of cello at RCM who regularly runs very successful and popular courses for amateur adult cellists. The day will consist of technical work outs, ensemble playing and mini masterclass sessions, for which an excellent pianist will be provided. The standard is grade 5 upwards. Ensemble parts will be sent out in advance and there will be more than one person on each part.

The day will be held at a lovely church in the centre of Winchester, directly opposite the train station. The cost will be £65 to include all refreshments except lunch.

I have about 4 spaces left if anyone is interested. Please Pm me if so.

Thank you!

I'm interested, but I have a major concert on the 24th November (Symphony Hall, Birmingham) and I strongly suspect that weekend will be big on rehearsals

It would be lovely to have you but sounds like it might be tricky.... just let me know if you do want to come.

Is this suitable for grade 8 + players or only for relatively new learners?

The standard will be from grade 6ish to grade 8 plus. Ensemble parts will be allocated appropriately. It is always good to have advanced players on these days to give a strong lead in the ensembles and they are welcome to have a masterclass slot! The tutor will certainly be beneficial for players of that standard.

Ps on the last day like this I organised, we had a number of diploma standard players and they all felt they benefited from the experience.

Do pm me if you'd like more details
