Has anyone here taken an FRSM in Performing with a non-specialist programme since 2005?

I haven't - but what do you mean when you say "non-specialist programme"?

I mean a balanced programme, instead of a specialist programme that the syllabus asks for.

Since the syllabus specifically says "specialist" is that a wise move?

(Some specialisms seem to be easier to accomodate in the repertoire lists, at least for violin... if you want to specialise in something 19th or 20th century music that seems feasible... but if you want to play Baroque music you have very few choices open to you!)
