I posted this link some time back, but I imagine there's quite a few new viewers since then.
I'm quite passionate about the pathway to learning to improvise. For some it happens very naturally without a lot of structured practice. As a result many feel that that is the best way to develop. As a teacher and examiner I've seen many achieve very little by following the "just use your ear" method.
Many people would just be happy to be able to see a set of chord changes and be able to do something with it, and content not being the worlds best. This definitely includes school teachers with little to no improv experience who will have students wanting to get started. This clip may give you something to present to students who are just starting out.
Hope it may help in some way,
