Reading held Stevenage to a goalless draw in the Cup. They were the better side, so we'll take a replay...

Orient also had a goalless draw against play-off chasing Boreham Wood.

We won. hurrah.gif

Newcastle are through as well, and I expect Leeds to win their match tomorrow.  Will be interesting to see if the FA can engineer another derby in the next round.  It feels like we get the Mackems pretty much every year.  I am sure that there are always more derbies in the cup than should be statistically probable.

But they haven't...

Holders Arsenal are out as well - the first time Arsene Wenger has lost in the third round...

The League One and League Two sides have fared pretty well overall. That's probably due to the fact the higher ranked teams are fielding weaker sides because of the hectic Christmas schedule.

A repeat of the 2016 promotion decider - could be feisty...!!

Reading's frustrations continue after another goalless draw against Hull.

Orient were in FA Trophy action today, and we are now in the 3rd round after a 2-1 extra time win over Bognor Regis. Both teams decided to settle the tie today, which is good for us because at least we haven't got to play them again...

Must watch MOTD2 tonight - it's been a dramatic day in the Premier League.

Man City lost for the first time this season after Liverpool beat them 4-3. City still 15 points clear of Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool (Utd do have a game in hand though).

This means Arsenal's invincibles of 2003/04 won't be emulated, but the Gunners themselves lost 2-1 to Bournemouth, and coupled with Liverpool's win are now 8 points off the top 4!

Used to be Man United but they're rubbish so I do not really have a favorite team now.

Charlton have been rubbish for most of the 38 years I’ve supported them. Hasn’t stopped me

Speaking as a Gooner (and having already written off this league season, as to be fair, have all teams except Man City) I didn't care how many points Man City accumulated as long as they were beaten at least once. :)

Still only one Premier League Invincible team. :D :D

Reading have overcome Stevenage with a 3-0 win... so it's Sheff Wed next for us.

We also did something similar to what Man Utd did in a match in 1996 - changed our kit at half-time due to a clash of colours with Stevenage's shirts...

A bit close but a 3-2 win for Tranmere over Maidenhead keeps us 5th smile.png

Brentford have made it 4 wins out of their last 5 games at Reading to extend our winless run to 8...<_<

No action from Leyton Orient today as the weather put paid to their fixture at Halifax.
