My colleague at work pointed out to me that, of the top 5 leagues in English football, the names of the leaders all start with the letter L. And there are only 6 teams that start with that letter in the Prem, Championship, League 1,2 and the National League!

Never really noticed that! Leyton Orient's position at the top is becoming increasingly under threat as we were held to a draw by Hartlepool - Solihull are just a points behind us now after their win. Wrexham also won, but Braintree have done us a huge favour by scoring an injury time winner against Salford!

Another goalless draw for Reading today.

After Aston Villa's comeback from 3-0 down in the last 10 minutes to draw 3-3 last night, QPR almost came back from 4-0 down to draw with Birmingham, but missed an injury time penalty! That ends the symmetry of the two Birmingham clubs (for now)!

Yes!! Thanks to Nelson Oliveira, a much needed win for Reading. That moves us out of the drop zone! :D

Reading's goal difference has been dented after a 4-0 thrashing by Sheff Utd. The other Sheffield club didn't do us any favours either by conceding a 100th minute equaliser to draw with Rotherham.

Orient lost top spot in midweek to Solihull Moors, and we're now down to 3rd after a disappointing home defeat to struggling Maidenhead. Wrexham now up to 2nd. Solihull equalised in stoppage time. Salford and Fylde both also lost at home.

Tranmere a goal up at Port Vale, but its only half time.   And next Saturday were playing bottom of the league Notts County.  6 points would push us back up the table a bit

Tranmere did win 2-1 in the end thanks to two goals from the league's top scorer. Notts County were thrashed 4-1 by Newport County.

Exactly a month ago Wrexham were 4 points behind Orient after 4 successive defeats. Now they are 4 points ahead of us after winning tonight (we didn't play). We could be 7 points adrift by Saturday as we are playing in the FA Trophy. Probably wished we hadn't of beaten them now in the Trophy...
