These exam dates are for Practical Grades and Music Performance ARSM diplomas, Prep Tests, Open Music Assessments and Practical Musicianship exams. For Ensemble and Choral Singing exams, see "Group Exams".

Online Music Theory (Grades 1 to 5)
Online Music Theory exams are available on demand. You can book at any time. After booking, candidates have 28 days to take their exam. They can choose any date and time during this period.
Due to system updates taking place, candidates will not be able to take exams on the dates/times below.

Diplomas
We are withdrawing our current DipABRSM, LRSM, and FRSM diplomas. For more information, including deadlines for taking exams see: Withdrawal of current diplomas.
Music Performance ARSM – digital exams are available on demand. You can book at any time. You then have 28 days to submit your exam video. For face-to-face exams, see ‘Practical Grades’.
New diplomas from 2024 – our new Music Performance LRSM and FRSM will be available on demand as digital assessments from April 2024. We will provide information about our new ARSM, LRSM and FRSM diplomas in Teaching and Directing when available. These will also be digital assessments.
Current DipABRSM, LRSM and FRSM - the session dates below are for our current DipABRSM, LRSM and FRSM diplomas only. Fee payment must be included along with your Diploma entry. Please contact your local representative for further information on how to pay.

The following charges should be paid direct to ABRSM's office in London by sterling draft presentable in the UK or by credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Sterling drafts should be payable to ‘The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music’.

These additional charges and any foreign exchange rate applied to the transaction are made by your bank, card issuer or PayPal and not by ABRSM. Charges will vary, depending on the payment method and the bank or institution you use to make the payment.
