Certificate reprints and record searches
All certificate reprints, record searches and confirmations of marks are temporarily free of charge until further notice.
Certificate reprints
For Practical Grades, Performance Grades and Music Theory:
- This service is available by email only and for exams taken from 1993 onwards.
- For exams taken between 1993 and 2019 you must provide a postal address and contact telephone number.
- For exams from 2020 onwards we can only send certificates to the person who booked the exam (the applicant).
For Diplomas:
- This service is available by email only and for exams taken from 2000 onwards.
- For exams taken between 2000 and 2019 you must provide a postal address and contact telephone number.
- For exams from 2020 onwards we can only send certificates to the person who booked the exam (the applicant).
If you think your original certificate may be lost in the post, please wait at least 28 days from receiving your results before contacting us to allow for delivery delays.
You should allow one month to receive your reprint.
Please fill out a ‘Certificate amendments and replacement request form’ via the contact form.
Email your request to [email protected], providing the following:
- Applicant and candidate Contact IDs (or applicant number for exams before 2020)
- Exam type, e.g. Music Theory, Practical Grade, Performance Grade
- Grade and instrument/subject
- Exam date
- Exam venue for face-to-face exams
Confirmation of marks and record searches
Confirmation of marks - we can provide a formal confirmation of marks for any ABRSM exam. We can provide this to the applicant (who booked the original exam) or the candidate.
Record search (exams before 1993) - if you need a prerequisite verification for a forthcoming exam, we can search for results in our archive and provide a formal confirmation of marks. This can take up to three months.
For confirmation of marks and record searches, email [email protected] providing the following:
- Applicant name
- Applicant number for exams from 1993 onwards
- Candidate name
- Exam type, e.g. Music Theory, Practical Grade, Performance Grade
- Grade and instrument/subject
- Date and venue
If you have a local ABRSM representative or contact in your country or region – please contact them directly about certificate reprints. This applies for all countries apart from Hong Kong, China or Malaysia. If you live in Hong Kong, China or Malysia, see below.
Please allow four months to receive your certificate reprint.
