Registration and training for Music Medals
If you are a teacher in the UK and interested in using Music Medals with your students, please register to become a Teacher Assessor. You’ll be sent information about the training course by email. You will need to register and complete our training before you can assess any Music Medals assessments.

To register as a Music Medals teacher-assessor:
- Create an ABRSM account.
- Register as a teacher-assessor using the form at the bottom of this page.
- Complete your training – see below.
Before you complete the form, please note:
- Music Medals are only available to teachers in the UK.
- You must be aged 18 or over to be a teacher-assessor.
- You can only assess your own pupils.
- We reserve the right to refuse or terminate registration of any individual as a teacher-assessor.
- We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect teacher-assessors to share this commitment and to be familiar with our Safeguarding Policy.
Our free, CPD accredited training gives you the knowledge and skills you need to use Music Medals in your teaching and to confidently and easily conduct Music Medals assessments with your pupils.
By the end of this course, you will:
- Understand how Music Medals are structured
- Understand how to administer and assess a Music Medal.
Online Training is available on demand via our Teacher Hub. Fill in the Teacher Assessor Registration Form below and you’ll be sent information on how to access this training. You can complete this at your own pace, and you’ll have lifetime access to the course so you can top up your knowledge when you need to. It’s CPD accredited too, so you’ll get a certificate from CPDUK after you complete the training.
