Prepare for your online Music Theory exam with our new practice platform
Once logged in, you can purchase practice papers which reflect our online Music Theory exams at Grades 1 to 5.
As you complete each paper, you’ll see what you’re getting right, along with feedback on each question to help you improve.
The platform is accessible from most internet browsers and works best on larger screens, although also works on tablets, mobiles and Chromebooks.

- This platform is completely separate from your ABRSM account, so you’ll need to create a new account to use it.
- Questions are taken from our printed ABRSM Music Theory Sample Papers and Model Answers 2020 and you can take each practice paper five times.
- Currently the platform is in English, with more languages to follow.
- Please check here for all information about our online exams. The exam platform is separate and is only available for a limited range of devices. We strongly recommend that you take our exam platform practice paper before your exam, available here.
The Music Theory Practice Platform is separate from your ABRSM account. Please create a separate login. If you’re having trouble with your password then please use the prompt from the login page to reset it.
The Music Theory Practice Platform questions use the exact same wording as the online Music Theory exam, but may sometimes look slightly different. We recommend that you take our exam platform practice paper before your exam, available here. Please check here for all information about our online exams.
There is a limit of five attempts for each paper.
