Please indicate your preferred centre on your entry and we will try to meet your request. If we are not holding diploma exams in your preferred venue, we will move your exam to an alternative venue.

2. If you are applying to hold a diploma Private Visit email us at [email protected] before you book to discuss arrangements.

You will be asked for the following:

- Candidate information
- Access arrangements and reasonable adjustments
- Preferred exam date and location
- Information about prerequisites (where applicable)
- Confirmation that submitted work will be submitted as instructed (where applicable)
4. Payment
- Candidates in the UK will be required to make a payment for their entry by BACS. After the end of the booking period, candidates will receive ABRSM bank details and a unique reference number to use when transferring the payment. Candidates should make payment as soon as requested. If payment is not received at least four weeks before the date of exams (or at an earlier date as specified by ABRSM), the entry will be cancelled. Payments which do not quote the correct reference number will not be successfully linked to the entry.
- Candidates in Ireland should make a payment for their exam at the time of entry to their local ABRSM representative. Please contact your local representative for more information.
5. We will get in touch to request any required documents in support of the entry and tell you how to submit these.
6. We aim to give at least four weeks’ notice of exam appointments.

We may not be able to offer diplomas at all our venues. Please indicate your preferred venue on your entry form and we do all we can to accommodate your request. If diploma exams are not running in your preferred venue, we will move your entry to an alternative venue.
We also offer diploma Visits during our published exam sessions. Exams take place at a venue - a school, teaching studio, home - provided by the person making the booking and we will organise for an examiner to visit. You will need a minimum amount of diploma examining time for a visit. Contact your local ABRSM representative to find out how much time you need for a Private Visit in your area.
We will try to provide an examiner for your requested Private Visit date. If this is not possible, our local representative will contact you to find another suitable date.
