How to book group exams
We offer face-to-face exams in Choral Singing and for Ensembles and Jazz Ensembles.
You can find information about booking these exams below.
We offer these exams at:
Public Venues – organised by us during regular exam sessions and open to anyone. For booking periods and exam dates check our dates and fees page.
Private Visits – at venues provided and run by a teacher, school or other organisation and only open to candidates of the Visit Organiser or their Permitted Applicants. For instrumental and singing exams, including Ensembles, you must normally have at least three hours of exams and you can usually choose your exam date.

Choral Singing exams are only available as Private Visits at a venue organised by a teacher, school or other organisation. For Choral Singing exams there is no minimum number of examining hours. We aim to provide an examiner on your chosen date but cannot guarantee this. We will let you know the final date once we’ve confirmed the visit.

Jazz Ensemble exams are only available as Private Visits at a venue organised by a teacher, school or other organisation. For Jazz Ensembles there is no minimum number of examining hours. Face-to-face Jazz exams, including Ensembles, are only available in Australia, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore and the UK.
